The (Not Quite) Hypothetical Question

If I were to show up in Beloit, Wisconsin next Sunday and move in for the summer, who would I find in town*?

*Residing in the 53511 zip code or in a place where one might go from Beloit, Wisconsin in a fairly fuel-efficient car with $50 of gas in the tank.

summer part 2

Yes, well, this definitely feels like summer, but so did the Galapagos. This is still awesome though- I'm pretty much a professional bum until June 7th when I leave for Minnesota, but today I mowed the lawn which was pretty successful and made dinner for the fam. That and a 1 hour run makes me feel accomplished.

Anyways, Anne just visited which was SO MUCH FUN. And yes, I'm sad she left, but it was awesome. We met in NYC and shopped and went to Central Park and the Museum of Natural History which was craazy. Afterwards was the shore, Philly, and general pitman nj goodness. She flew out yesterday (sad) but I'm super-happy that she came.

Soon enough will be my Midwest roadtrip where I will see many of you! Pumped!

bye!

SUMMER BLOGS ARE GOOD, TOO!!

Hmm, I am still in Spain, and preparing for finals! I am pretty jealous that you guys are already done!! I am not actually leaving the European continent until July 16th! But then I get to go to Connecticut (my favorite place on Earth!), then home for August...Everyone should give some summer updates. I feel like the blog is even more important now, because we are ALL scattered!! GOOD JOB! to everyone at the last chance meet! wowzer--I can hardly imagine those times!!

Same ol' same ol'---I miss you guys, Aaron, and the fam, but I need to soak up my last month of European livin! Yikes! I have to say, skipping finals, and just coming home right now, sounds pretty damn good!! Anyway, voy a comer! Os echo de menos y os quiero!! Happy runnnning this summer...or just Happy Summer!

Summer happenings & Last Chance

hey all - i already miss beloit and all of you way too much. i hope everyone's enjoyed part 1 of the 2-wk. break... i know i've settled nicely into my fatty ways, and i'm loving it. i've started work getting the sailboats ready for the summer, but sadly will be headed off in 2 weeks before lessons even begin, to cedar rapids, iowa! helen pope style =) in the meantime, it's work every mon-fri followed by a lot of nagging about unpacking all my shit and getting my study abroad application in... with a little reading and a lot of eating on the side.

visited the last chance meet today in naperville, beautiful weather, sadly i didn't get there in time to see katie's high jump but i caught AC's 400 hurdle, a 55.36 (new PR, and .7 seconds away from provo) and hammer's last collegiate race, a solid 11:16 steeple - beating jenny scherer, might i add! chipotle burritos were enjoyed all around. glorious.

keep us updated on your summer adventures, and mark your calendars for may 22nd - indy and the kingdom of the crystal skull...

take care,
k-ron, kb, chi-town, karebear, etc...
