I've been in Paris since Sunday. It's kind of super. I'll spare you the gory details, but suffice it to say there's a lot of red wine and espresso involved. The kids in my group are great and mostly midwestern. The thirty of us are just the American sector of a larger international posse to be assembled at the UHB in two weeks.
There's an early departure time tomorrow morning to see yet another gothic cathedral. In the afternoon, the whole group is taking cars to Rennes to meet our host families for drinks. We get to know them for a couple hours over dinner. Then we go home with them. Bad date/nightmarish kidnapping comparisons welcome.
There's been no time to run, but we do walk for almost 10 hours a day. Baguettes and brie can be consumed in motion. Scarves catch what your mouth misses. It's all very chic. Can't wait to get to Rennes and run.
Updates on the home crew are lacking on this space. Step it up, women. Bisous et croissants!
